Paper A. BDA/LDA Shared Membership. February 2011
'As you are aware the BDA has been working with LDAs towards a solution for Shared
Membership. This scheme is based on both organisations working together for the
benefit of their members and dyslexic people to enable the BDA to lobby government as
the Voice of Dyslexia'.
The BDA is actively campaigning to seek new individual members. With their permission
these new members and their details will be shared, with an LDA within their geographical
location. For the scheme to work, the LDA will need the majority of their members to
accept the sharing of their details with the BDA, this will produce various benefits.
